Editor's review
This software tool will let you split a PDF into many or combine many into one.
This is a tool for splitting large PDF files into many smaller pieces. You could also combine many individual PDF documents into one. When combining, PDF merger software will cut out number of pages, odd pages, even pages and delete pages according to page range or page numbers initially. The interface is quite a simple one and groups of control are separated into tabbed areas. That should make it very easy to access even for complete novices. Below that specific area you have several radio button options that you can choose. These define the exact cut or merge you are trying to do and with what page options to be used. Naming of multiple files generated can be automatic. You can specify a suffix and prefix so that these files are easily identifiable later.
The main interface area is for collecting the batch of files that this tool can handle at a time. The controls around the display area lets you pick the batch list and make sure of the order in which these files are to be processed. One of the tabbed areas in the interface is about setting up the metadata like the author, subject, etc. If you have people in the organization who need to keep creating new documents from your existing documents, this can be a very valuable tool. Typical such department will the sales & marketing who need to keep making proposals using existing material from older documents and you are not going to need the Acrobat tool either. This is a good and handy tool.
